The idea behind BuilderChat started forming in 2020, when we saw a pattern: high-intent buyers were showing up online at nights and on weekends, but too often they never made it into the CRM.

We proved the demand using live chat and real conversations. The problem was scale. Staffing, training, consistency, and after-hours coverage created gaps. And those same gaps showed up again in homeowner communication and service routing.

In 2023, we started experimenting with conversational AI to close those gaps without adding headcount, while keeping the handoff to the right human simple and fast.
